Glory Days is a Bay, Standardbred mare. 18 years young and 14.5 hands. She came to MA from a South Carolina race farm July 2009. Coggins done same time. Glory has an old injury in her left front knee...causes arthritic discomfort when worked too much. Supplements could help. Rides western, english, or bareback. Limited riding. Lame at trot, sound at walk. Will go at a walk, resists anything faster. Yet, she runs and kicks up her heels at play with no rider. Needs some work before mounting. Good manners, basically. Stands for grooming, tacking, mounting, and farrier. Resists farrier work on front left, but can be done without any aggression. Never kicked. Great around people of all ages. No cribbing. Good stall manners, although presently kept in a run in with attached paddock. She loves treats of apples and alfalfa cubes. Presently on 14 % pellets with supplemental hays. Loves pasture.
Glory shows some mild aggression toward animals in her paddock, but not out to pasture. Was previously living with a gelding with no problems. She is barefoot and last trim was Dec. Due for a trim. Saw vet last Dec. Due for worming.

Tonka is a handsome 11-year-old thoroughbred gelding. Has been used as a therapeutic riding horse for the past two years and unfortunately is no longer sound for regular ring work (3 or 4 days of lessons). Can be used for light walk/trot and trail riding. Gets along great with other horses, he would love to have one person to call his own. Tonka is an easy keeper and can be kept barefoot; currently has shoes for the trail rides he is doing with the kids.
His lameness is a result of a bone chip in his right knee, which is operable if someone wishes to do so.
He is a wonderful horse who would make a great companion horse, or for someone who just wishes to hop on for the occasional ride - if you give him a bute the morning before and after a ride he is serviceably sound.
Originally rescued from Hemphills, please help us find him a forever home.
UTD on shots, worming and farrier.
