Wish List
The needs and costs of running a busy and thanks to you, growing, equine rescue seem almost never ending and that is even before we get to the wants; the small extras that provide a little extra TLC for the horses. Below is a current LHER wish list where we could use your assistance, in the barn, with the horses and in the office. Won't you help us keep LHER horses happy and healthy, go to events in style and raise public awareness about these equines in need? Remember, every little bit helps horses become Lucky horses. Please feel free to drop items off in person or ship to the rescue.
Thanks in advance,

LHER Office
Running a busy, growing rescue means taking care of more than just the horses. Our office and event volunteers could really use some assistance as they continually strive to make us more efficient, raise public awareness and help us rescue as many horses as possible.
Please consider donating;
Two- 2 draw locking file cabinets LHER is bursting at the seams. Please help us transform piles into files as we grow.
Hanging file folders We are growing as fast as our foals. Please help us stay on track with files for each horse, volunteer and event.
Reams of copy paper - for everything!
Reams of 100# text gloss paper for our brochures. Thank you Konica Minolta Business Solutions' Sara Yaeggy for donating paper and printing for 1000 LHER brochures!
Clear plastic storage containers - Help us stay organized. We really need 10 clear large plastic and 10 medium plastic containers for LHER office, event and barn supplies, yard sale donations, and more.
Gift certificates to any office supply store.
LHER Barn
Thanks to you LHER has a new foal barn and plans to attend the Bolton Fair, Sterling Fair and Equine Affaire. Wont you assist us as we showcase LHER horses at home and on the road? Our current list of needs include;
2-3 bi-fold panels - Help us spread the word by making LHER more visible at our upcoming events , including the Bolton Fair. These panels would be a great place for us to display our rescue horses at our event booth.
4 Fence Panels - Fence panels allow us to have an official LHER meet and greet equine such as Cinnamon at local events safely.
1 round pen A double need, a LHER round pen would greatly assist in the training of LHER horses and allow us the proper space to showcase our horse, ponies and foals at upcoming events.
Two Horse Trailer - We know it is a big wish but a LHER trailer would be a win, win, win. Not only can we ship horses to events, we can pick up surrenders in need, but would be able to ship adopted horses to their new homes for a fee benefiting the rescue horses awaiting lifetime homes.
Truck - Another big wish but necessary to pull the trailer, haul tables, etc. to LHER events, carry fencing and more.
Tall Portable Storage Closet Your choice, metal, plastic or wooden - Any one of these would help give us necessary storage for the new LHER barn.
2 Pitch forks - 1 regular plastic and 1 wonder
2 Rakes - 1 metal and one plastic
1 wheelbarrow
2 muck buckets one for the barn and one for the trailer
1 shovel- preferably plastic for shavings etc.
Feed-a-Foal and Other Programs
How much does it cost LHER to feed our eight foals per day? 1 1/3 bags of milk replacement powder $80.00, 11.5 containers of yogurt $34.38 = $114.38 per day (total does not include gut probiotic powder, hay or bags of shavings). This amount will increase as they grow.
