Volunteer of the Year
On behalf of the officers, members and volunteers, I am happy to announce the LHER Volunteer of the Year is April Clow-Gelina. It should come as no surprise that the woman who is always there for equines and humans alike should be given this honor in LHER's first and most important year.
April is a founding member of LuckyHorse and, as you know, the Direct Care and Volunteer Coordinator. Additionally, April is the editor of our monthly newsletter! She makes a yeoman effort to ensure that no matter however many horses and foals are in our care, they each receive the attention they need. April has adopted her own horse, Black Tye Affair, from LHER and they have formed a bond of love and trust that is a pleasure to witness.
Did you know that LHER has over 200 volunteers? April greets everyone with a smile, knows your name, and is there to support the new volunteers whether they have years of experience around equines or if it is their first foray into the wonderful world of horses.
For these and so many other reasons, Luckyhorse is proud to bestow this honor on you April. Congratulations and thank you. We know you are the last person to want recognition, but you are a true gift to this organization and we are grateful.
