WHO WE ARE Lucky Horse Equine Rescue is a non profit organization dedicated to the educated and empathic care of all equines. Our Mission is to protect unwanted, abandoned, neglected, or slaughter bound horses by saving, caring for, and rehabilitating these equines in need and placing them in compatible loving homes where they can lead contented and productive lives. LHER believes that compassion and education are the long term solutions to improving the lives of all equines. All donations to LHER are tax deductible. LHER is an all volunteer organization and is thankful for each and every volunteer and their many contributions.
VOLUNTEER SPOTLIGHT This months spotlight volunteer is Ashley C. Ashley is fairly new here but she already has a reputation for being someone we can count on! Ashley has jumped right in with both feet: she is a barn buddy, has two foal feeding shifts, assists at functions and is our Ebay seller for donated items that the rescue cannot put to use. You rock Ashley! Keep up the good work! Thanks for being part of the Lucky Horse Family..
We would additionally like to spotlight; Jai our Founder and President, April our Volunteer and Event Coordinator, Ellie our Horse Care Coordinator, Christine our Foster and Adoption Coordinator and Jen our Natural Horsemanship Trainer and Equine Evaluator, for their countless hours of dedication and participation.
WHAT DO WE DO Lucky Horse wants to help! We are a group of people interested in giving back to the animal community. Animals have factored deeply in all of our lives, and it is our turn to give back now! Our pet project is the Orphaned Foal project, but this is not all we do! If you are at your wits end and not sure where to turn, turn to Lucky Horse and we will try to help. We do specialize in horses but try very hard not to turn away any animal or person in need. LHER does take in horses that are victims of ignorance and cruelty, but now more than ever we are seeing people that love their animals dearly end up in situations where they can no longer afford them. Some of these people have turned to Lucky horse and are trusting us to re-home their equine friends. Horses currently for adoption.
WHERE TO FIND US LHER is located on the premises of Century Mill Stables in Bolton, MA. This full service show and training facility takes its mission of "happy horses, happy riders" above and beyond by generously donating the stalls, turnouts, indoor/outdoor arena time and expertise that allow Lucky Horse to provide exceptional, educated and empathetic care to each and every horse.
